Charity of the Month: Unified Animal Friends

United Animal Friends is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization. Our mission is to provide rescue programs and services to animals and those who care for them. Our primary goals are saving the lives of adoptable dogs and cats, finding the best home for each animal in our care, reducing pet overpopulation through our spay/neuter programs, feeding hungry animals through our Community Pet Food Bank, and relieving suffering while facilitating the compassionate treatment of animals.

Since its inception in 2003, UAF has found loving homes for nearly 10,000 animals; facilitated the spay/neuter of more than 35,000 cats and dogs; distributed tons of pet food to clients who otherwise could not afford to feed their animals; paid for emergency veterinary services for more than 1,000 pets in low-income households; and found new homes for hundreds of companion animals whose owners were no longer able to care for them.

Direct Beneficiaries in 2025: UAF rescued 699 dogs and cats, spayed/neutered 2,234 animals, provided 70,229 pounds of pet food to pets in low-income households, and provided $57,842 in financial assistance for emergency veterinary care for pets in low-income households.
